This quote is commonly attributed to the chef Julia Child who wrote "Good food at it's best" on a restaurant menu in 1958. It also appeared in her book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. The first edition of her book came out in 1961. However, Julia Child died in 2004, so it is likely that she never said these words. The quote was first printed by the New York Times in 1998.
